LOGICON

April 2012

We think science is cool, and we also think most everyone else thinks science is cool, especially if it’s presented without stuffiness, pomp or circumstance. We find it impossible not to wonder at how the world around us and everything in it works, and we want to learn more about how it does! So we grab all the scientists and science enthusiasts we can find, jam ‘em together in one awesome space, and shake it together to see what cool stuff falls out.

We’ve discovered the recipe for a LogiCON goes something like this:

  1. First, take a bunch of science and critical thinking speakers on a diverse range of topics like space, psychology, medicine and biology. The more the merrier!
  2. Mix ‘em up with an inquisitive, curious, science-enthusiastic audience including students, academics and families. Go all ages!
  3. Shake in a lot of fun and a healthy serving of critical thinking.
  4. Stir it all together in a great venue at a low cost!

LogiCON is about learning, about asking questions, and about getting it wrong sometimes. Because, in science, getting it wrong is how you eventually get it right.
