About LogiCON

An excuse to spend a weekend geeking out about science and the scientific method. As if you needed one.

What Is Logicon?

Logicon is a two day event bringing members of the scientific community together with the general public to celebrate logic, critical thinking, and the scientific method. Logicon is for everyone: there will be talks from a variety of speakers for both the longtime science enthusiast and the curious beginner alike.

Presentations will be on a wide range of topics and are usually short lecture-style talks with ample time for questions. You can stop in for two full days, come by for just one, or even drop by for individual talks that might interest you. It’s up to you!

Logicon 2013 topics include evolution, cognitive science, paleontology, radiation, astrophysics, biodiversity, philosophy of science, knot theory and more!

When and Where?

Logicon 2013 will be hosted at The Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS) on the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

This two day event runs the afternoons of May 4 and 5, 2013 starting at 11am.
